Mason Controls, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a highly experienced Quality Control Manager to lead our quality management systems and ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
Key Responsibilities- Process Optimization: Review and refine existing procedures to maximize efficiency, implement necessary changes, and update procedures as required.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Quality Control functions to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Certified/Qualified Inspector Program: Develop and implement a comprehensive program to ensure all personnel authorized to receive quality stamps are properly trained and certified.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate external and customer audits, ensuring that any findings are addressed and closed with the required actions.
- Customer Quality Requirements: Review and evaluate customer quality requirements during proposal and contract evaluations.
- Compliance Oversight: Oversee Calibration, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Document Control, and Record Control processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action: Support cross-functional teams in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CAR) initiatives, both internally and with customers.
- First Article Inspection: Manage the First Article Inspection (FAI) process and related planning.
- Quality Management System Implementation: Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure implementation and documentation of an effective Quality Management System, including the creation, review, update, and implementation of quality procedures and work instructions to meet AS9100, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 standards, FAA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies.
