Comprehensive Community Health Centers Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Medical Office Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role

This position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient interactions, from scheduling to check-in and beyond. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing patient records, verifying insurance information, and maintaining a clean and organized registration area.

You will work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient schedules, maintain accurate records, and update necessary information in our PM system.
  • Greet and sign in patients, providing a welcoming experience and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Verify and update patient information, including household and income details, and collect co-pays and payments as required.
  • Obtain and verify patient insurance information and prepare welcome packets for new patients.
  • Register patient data through our PM system, including scanning documents and preparing daily batches for the business office.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls, take messages, and provide information to patients and staff.
  • Sort and deliver mail to the Office Manager and attend meetings as required.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with two years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification and/or certification through AAMA are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer and word processing software is essential.
