Job Title: Medical Assistant - ENT Specialist

Nexus Health Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Santa Fe, NM. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of our physicians and clinicians, you will assist with patient care duties, promote efficient patient flow, and perform various administrative tasks. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an ideal candidate for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as needed.
  • Record patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Obtain patient records and prepare exam/treatment rooms.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures, and administer injections as delegated.
  • Maintain exam/treatment room disinfection protocols and respond to patient calls.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as typing, filing, faxing, and reception.
  • Alert nurses/physicians of abnormal vitals or important patient information.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Medical Assistant or nursing assistant.
  • Current BCLS certification required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
