Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect support to healthcare providers and patients
  • Prepare exam rooms and patients for medical procedures
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, and discharges
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading
  • Assist with prescription refills, electronic health record alerts, and other delegated tasks
  • Ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are properly sanitized and stocked
  • Respond to phone calls and voicemails
  • Data entry, filing, and faxing or emailing documents
  • Adhere to infection control standards, OSHA standards, and aseptic techniques
  • Strictly adhere to HIPAA standards
  • Participate in staff meetings and provide constructive feedback
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Medical assistant certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent, continuous experience in a medical assistant role
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Experience as a receptionist
  • Managerial experience
