Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients, obtain demographic and financial information, and schedule appointments
  • Conduct interviews to gather accurate information and complete necessary paperwork

  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of a nursing assistant, EMT, or medical assistant program of study preferred
  • Two years of employment at a licensed medical facility in a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant role may be applied in lieu of program completion
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, work independently, and assert initiative on performance improvement opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to navigate computer software
Working Conditions

This role requires knowledge of general safety standards to limit exposure to infectious disease. Daily contact with infectious diseases and body fluids is expected.

Bloodborne pathogens: C

Physical requirements include bending, stooping, and lifting up to 35 lbs, reaching above head and below knee level, and utilization of proper body mechanics.
