About the Role

PitchBook Data is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager II to join our Data Technology team. As a Product Manager II, you will play a key role in defining and executing the product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions and workflow tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate client needs, pain points, and business opportunities through ongoing user research
  • Be a SME for your product area(s) and resource for team members across PitchBook
  • Actively define roadmap prioritization and create business cases for new opportunities
  • Create detailed functional specifications from prioritized requirements
  • Communicate requirements and technical details to stakeholders, including engineering teams
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your product roadmap
  • Continuously improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes
  • Build strategy for integration of existing Data Technology tools with our Public Equity operations team
  • Give compelling presentations to stakeholders on projects and vision
  • Be a resource for junior team members on the Product Management process
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of product management experience, or 2+ years of product management experience with 1+ years of experience fulfilling product functions within the financial market intelligence/data platform domain
  • A proven record of shipping high-impact data solutions and workflow tools
  • Bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Experience gathering user-centric requirements and writing functional specification documents
  • Superior attention to detail including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong audience awareness
  • Strong understanding of the Public Equity domain
  • Experience collaborating with data gathering/operations teams
  • Demonstrate application of artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions to improve process efficiency. This includes knowledge of Optical Character Recognition, Classifier training, and Prompt Engineering
  • Experience communicating with remote teams and stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Outlook, Word, and Excel skills with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Our compensation package includes an annual base salary of $125,000-$150,000 and a target annual bonus percentage of 10%.

Working Conditions

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
