Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our team at MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical services and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and empower caregivers to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Partner with the Hospital Director to lead the hospital's medical services, including emergency and specialty care.
- Lead and direct the Medical Services teams, including doctor hiring, onboarding, development, and performance management.
- Manage department workflows to ensure efficient, safe, and compassionate patient care.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Director to manage hospital financial results, including inventory and expenses.
- Work with the Regional Medical Director and VP of Clinical Services and Finance to prepare and manage hospital budgets.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care, referral partner relationships, and CE activities.
- Oversee patient care issues, referral partner concerns, and client complaints, personally handling escalated issues.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong track record of success in a veterinary organization.
- At least 5-7 years of progressive growth and experience in a veterinary organization.
- Ability to manage conflict in highly emotional situations with grace and maturity.
- Board-certified veterinary specialists, experienced ER veterinarians, or veterinarians with equivalent experience are ideal.
