Job Title: Senior Bridge Engineer

Halff Associates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team in Houston, TX.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Bridge Engineer with a Texas PE License to lead our bridge design projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of experience in bridge engineering, with a strong background in design, project management, and business development.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the complete design of structures projects
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with longstanding clients, requiring on-site investigations, bridge load ratings, and coordination
  • Build and lead a bridge design group in the Orlando office
  • Manage production of design calculations and construction drawings
  • Review contractor submittals and coordinate with inspection subconsultants during construction
  • Participate in business development activities
  • Manage project budgets and schedules
  • Coordinate effort with clients, in-house engineers, and subconsultants
  • Assist in training and supervising less experienced engineers and designers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Master's Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering with a Structural emphasis or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas, or able and willing to obtain a Texas PE License within 6 months of start date
  • A minimum of 5 to 15 years of experience in Bridge/Structural Design
  • Experience managing structural design and plan production
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients
  • MicroStation, Revit, or AutoCAD training is a plus
