FAA Assembler

Position Overview:
The FAA Assembler role involves the disassembly, assembly, reworking, and basic testing of various electrical and electronic devices.

Key Responsibilities:
· Utilize electric soldering tools in accordance with IPC-A-B, Class standards
· Cut, prepare, and pre-tin wires; prepare batteries; apply conformal coating, marking, and adhesive bonding
· Adhere to both written and verbal instructions
· Execute tasks according to specifications and procedures under direct or limited supervision
· Perform a range of intricate mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly tasks in line with company protocols
· Inspect own work and that of colleagues to ensure accuracy as per company and customer specifications
· Maintain a tidy and organized workstation, complying with safety standards
· Uphold an acceptable attendance and safety record
· Follow all company policies, guidelines, and procedures
· Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required
· Support other departments with tasks, training, and development as necessary

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent relevant education and experience
Experience: Prior experience in an electrical or avionics manufacturing/testing environment is preferred
Skills:
· Proficient in reading and understanding regulations and instructions in English
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Availability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends
· Skilled in using tools, equipment, and inspection aids relevant to assigned tasks
· Capable of using hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering equipment
· Ability to lift and carry items up to specified weight limits
· Must comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass related screenings
· Competent in performing complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly tasks
· Problem-solving skills for atypical situations based on existing procedures
· Experience with basic welding, brazing, or soldering tasks
· Ability to read and interpret company documents, including safety rules and operating instructions
· Familiarity with MS Office Suite
· Good manual dexterity for working with small components
· Ability to perform light lifting and manage physical tasks as required
