Job Summary:
Nurse III

Job Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services team, the Nurse III will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing utilization review activities, reviewing medical records and assessments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and making recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the Nurse III will be responsible for producing routine and specialized data and information for program reports, informing and collaborating with internal divisions on program outcomes, and interpreting complex state and federal laws and regulations related to the program.

Key Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures, health care laws and regulations, medical diagnoses and procedures, and community health and nursing care principles. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to identify appropriate nursing care and other health care services, prepare and maintain reports, and explain and interpret applicable health laws and regulations. The Nurse III will also be able to travel independently throughout the state as necessary.
