The Pool and Beach Safety Officer is a critical role at Carillon Hotel Management LLC, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all residents, guests, and visitors to the pool and beach areas.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol the pool and beach areas to ensure compliance with hotel and condominium policies and regulations.
- Issue wristbands to registered individuals and ensure that all persons entering the pool and beach areas provide proper credentials.
- Oversee security-related aspects of the pool and beach operating areas, including monitoring CCTV systems and operating security equipment.
- Conduct regular safety checks of the pool and beach facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor weather conditions and coordinate with the team to implement inclement weather procedures.
- Provide assistance with technical issues related to door locks and safes within the pool and beach areas.
- Address and manage conduct violations and ensure adherence to Carillon policies within the pool and beach premises.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor to enhance pool and beach safety and security.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for additional education or training in security, safety, or related fields.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in security roles, ideally with a focus on pool and beach environments in a hotel/resort setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence, able to interact positively with guests, residents, and team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems, make decisions under pressure, and handle emergency situations specific to pool and beach environments.
- Familiarity with conducting physical patrols and the physical ability to respond quickly in emergency situations, including lifting and carrying equipment.
- CPR/First Aid certification is highly preferred, with a focus on skills applicable to pool and beach safety incidents.
