Located in the heart of Miami, Ennismore offers a unique and exciting experience in the world of hotels as theater. We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Pool and Beach Attendant at SLS South Beach, Miami.

Job Purpose:

Under the guidance of Hyde Beach Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional and enjoyable safe beach experiences to guests. This includes greeting guests, providing beach towels, escorting guests and positioning chairs, setting up, refreshing, and tearing down cabanas, and maintaining the cleanliness and physical appearance of the beach area.

Duties and Functions:
  • Must possess a strong team spirit and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service and respond to guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be able to maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
  • Must be able to work independently and partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of eight hours per shift.
  • Must be able to observe and respond to various situations while multitasking and handling stressful situations.
  • Must be able to twist, tow, reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based on business volumes.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the venue teams.
  • Must be able to communicate with employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information.
  • Must be able to remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant activity, serving as a role model for team and other employees.
  • Must be able to make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
Supportive Functions:
  • Must be able to attend mandatory meetings, including divisional meetings, staff meetings, etc.
  • Must be able to participate in community events and ensure corporate social responsibility goals of the company are met.
  • Must be able to utilize traditional software programs, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Micros, ADP, Open Table, and any departmental specific systems used.
  • Must be able to keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Must be able to ensure confidential documents are kept in a secured area.
  • Must be able to dispose of confidential documents that contain personally identifiable information in a secure manner.
  • Must be able to complete other duties as assigned by the Department Head.
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards.
  • Must be able to ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
