Job Description

Lea County is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Counselor II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality counseling services to clients with mental health and substance abuse issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions, as well as educational-based group facilitation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling or a related field.
  • Valid New Mexico licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
  • Three years of experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
