Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

The Guidance Center of Lea County, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide clinical services, including medication management, clinical evaluations, and therapy to clients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide adult, adolescent, and child pharmacologic management and psychotherapy services to clients
Render emergency treatment to clients during normal working hours
Maintain accurate records of client care, treatment, and examination
Prepare and submit reports as needed
Coordinate mental health care with community physicians and consulting psychiatrists
Ensure clients on medication receive their prescribed medication
Requirements:
Master's degree and Nurse Practitioner License with Psychiatry indication
Unrestricted and current license to practice medicine in New Mexico
Two or more years of experience in behavioral health preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Working Conditions:
This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The position consists of 40 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday. Hours or days may vary according to need. Travel may be required for delivery of services, training, or conferences. Personal transportation is mandatory.
