Job Summary

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Clifton Park Advanced Imaging. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to the coordinator and/or radiologist.
  • Instruct patients on the nature of the exam being performed and effectively communicate with them throughout the exam.
  • Follow established scan protocols or radiologist's special instructions.
  • Demonstrate appropriate use of equipment and accessories.
  • Select appropriate technical factors for the requested imaging exam.
  • Assist in the instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
  • Demonstrate accurate positioning and ensure patient comfort.
  • Demonstrate proper screening procedures for contraindications to MRI examinations.
  • Ensure proper magnetic field safety at all times.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all MRI emergency procedures.
  • Provide proper hearing protection to all patients and visitors.
  • Effectively complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements.
  • Document and report all incidents, radiation safety concerns, and equipment malfunctions to the coordinator in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • 1 year of CT and/or MRI experience.
  • Current ARRT registration and NYS license required.

Pay Range: $34.50 - $48.81

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
