Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and experience with CT and MRI equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT and MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring proper positioning and comfort.
  • Assist in managing patient flow and presenting images for physician review.
  • Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as ordered by the radiologist.
  • Perform venipuncture and utilize power injectors to administer IV contrast.
  • Recognize and assist in treating contrast agent reactions and extravasations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) certification.
  • ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within 18 months of entry date.
  • Certification in IV Contrast Administration within 6 months of entry date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Previous CT or MRI experience.
