About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laborer II to join our utility construction team at ADB Companies Inc. This dynamic role involves assisting our wireline team in the installation of fiber optic cables for various telecommunication projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks such as hand digging, setting up traffic control, operating entry-level equipment, placing fiber, loading materials, and more on safety-sensitive utility construction sites.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utility print and map reading to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Operate various equipment (such as directional drills, mini, plow, hydro) to contribute to project success while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Support setup and shutdown of utility construction projects, including traffic control, in diverse conditions.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following required safety practices and protocols.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to gain expertise in fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, and more.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities as the right-hand to the Foreman, ensuring adherence to safety rules and regulations, and providing guidance to others.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 1 year of utility construction experience and at least 6 months of heavy equipment operations, including Hydro, Drill, Mini, and Plow. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary, and a CDL License (or the ability to obtain one) is also required.

What We Offer

This exciting opportunity includes an estimated salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
