Job Summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medication management services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality medication management services to patients, including weight management and diabetes care.
  • Review and interpret physician orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to pharmacy practice standards.
  • Dispense medications and pharmaceutical preparations to inpatient and outpatient areas of the hospital.
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles and monitor drug therapies to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and students, ensuring accuracy of their work prior to dispensing.
  • Participate in drug utilization evaluations and quality assurance monitors, performing clinical interventions and monitoring patient medication therapies.
  • Counsel patients on their medication therapies and food/drug interactions.
  • Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel.
  • Assist in the supervision of pharmacy technicians and students.
Requirements
  • PA pharmacist license (required)
  • Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy (required)
