Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and repair activities meet performance and compliance standards, focusing on quality and regulatory adherence.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Director to maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and policies and practices.
  • Manage parts inventories, movement, and levels to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure strategic vendor selection.
  • Ensure vehicles maintain a professional appearance with proper markings.
  • Recommend improvements and innovations in fleet maintenance and repair areas.
  • Manage the Fleet P&L in conjunction with the Fleet Director.
  • Provide capital requests for equipment and facilities improvements/repairs in the shops.
  • Train General Managers and Distribution Supervisors/Managers on proper fleet operation and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Five to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License, Valid Med Card, and Clean MRV preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanics and Heavy Equipment repair required.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
