Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Director of Volunteer Leadership to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and retain volunteer leaders, as well as managing the volunteer pipeline and data tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement volunteer engagement strategies to increase participation and retention
  • Manage the volunteer pipeline and data tracking to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
  • Provide support to volunteer leaders and committees, including scheduling and staffing meetings and events
  • Collaborate with the Director of Constituent Engagement and other stakeholders to achieve fundraising and prospect pipeline building efforts
  • Represent Johns Hopkins University at various events and meetings, including Leadership Weekend and Volunteer Leadership Summit
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three years related experience, with at least two years of professional experience
  • Experience in volunteer and board management, alumni relations, events, fundraising or related field, preferably in an institution of higher education
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite skills – especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with prospect management databases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
