MRG Exams is a leading provider of medical evaluation services in Ohio. We are seeking a Medical Examiner Specialist to join our team as an Independent Medical Evaluator.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and board-certified Medical Examiner Specialist with expertise in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, or Orthopedics. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive medical assessments, evaluate permanent partial impairment, and provide objective opinions in narrative reports to support claims adjudication and case management processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments according to Ohio BWC guidelines and regulations.
- Perform accurate and objective Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines.
- Document findings and provide clear, concise reports within established timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
- Represent MRG Exams with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, or Orthopedics.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
Estimated Salary Range
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
