Location: Glen Carbon IL 62034
Job Type: Initial contract duration with possible extension
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am - 4 pm Central Standard Time, with occasional Saturday shifts from 7 am - 1 pm
Compensation: $17-$25 per hour (Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and relevant healthcare credentials.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws, label specimens, and manage specimen centrifugation and maintenance.
- Accurately collect and store specimens following established protocols.
- Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods to patients.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using both straight and butterfly needles.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by testing protocols.
- Prepare specimens for transport in accordance with guidelines.
- Store specimen samples at the required temperatures and ensure proper labeling and packaging for transport to maintain specimen integrity.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
*Compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and relevant healthcare credentials.
