Heavy Equipment/Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment/Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
  • Component Repair or Replacement: Perform component repair or replacement, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Equipment Inspections: Perform equipment maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair fuel injection systems, and perform welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Equipment Testing: Conduct equipment testing and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper function.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints to understand equipment specifications and requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy equipment repair and/or Diesel engine experience.
  • Industrial Experience: Experience with industrial, construction, forestry, and heavy truck equipment.
  • Repair Skills: Proficient in electrical, diesel, gasoline, and hydraulic repair.
  • Fuel Injection Systems: Knowledge of fuel injection systems and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues.
  • Transmission Replacement: Experience with transmission replacement and hydraulic system repair.
  • Forklift Certification: Forklift certification preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work in the field and travel as needed.
