Job Summary

Adecco Staffing is assisting a well-known Medical Device Manufacturing facility in Chelmsford, MA with their needs for a Manufacturing Set Up Technician on 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform shift setup by starting equipment and utilities according to established processes.
  • Ensure the correct tooling is installed and the appropriate parameters are used for production.
  • Run samples after changeovers and complete forms for the Device History Record.
  • Verify tooling for each batch before and after use.
  • Control and verify raw materials and consumables.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical machine failures by disassembling and inspecting components.
  • Utilize technical documentation to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Determine the root cause of failures and correct conditions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Report downtime and document all repair activities.
  • Follow up on repairs with observation and monitoring of equipment after it is in service to confirm successful repairs.
  • Document and perform predictive and preventive maintenance to maximize time between failures.
  • Perform checks and mechanical clearances as necessary to ensure proper operation.
  • Research, develop, and document critical spare parts for equipment.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively communicate issues to engineers and management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to work independently and learn quickly.
  • Recognizes issues and recommends cost-effective solutions to management.
  • A High School Diploma or Vocational High School Diploma focused on equipment repair with practical experience.
