Responsibilities

As a Refrigeration and HVAC Systems Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Repairing and overhauling equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices
  • Testing malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and mechanical skills
  • Maintaining accurate and legible records of work history
  • Providing general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance activities and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
  • Working on minor construction and remodeling projects, including startups of new installations
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of a refrigeration technician training program (HVACR) from a technical school or completion of a technical program from a JR College
  • A valid EPA certificate
  • 1-3 years of commercial refrigeration experience, with a strong background in refrigeration equipment and systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A good driving record and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance
