Grounds Technician Job Overview

We are in search of a part-time, seasonal Grounds Technician to become a valuable member of our team. This role typically involves 24-28 hours of work each week.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

As a Grounds Technician, you will be tasked with a variety of labor-intensive activities focused on the maintenance of lawns and grounds, as well as aiding in the daily operations and care of the MV Golf and Event Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting general maintenance and setup of the golf course, including mowing, trimming trees, and raking sand traps.
  • Weeding and mowing various surfaces across the golf courses and turf areas.
  • Maintaining and raking bunkers.
  • Removing leaves and applying mulch.
  • Shoveling, sweeping, and seeding areas of the course.
  • Performing maintenance on tees and caring for landscape beds.
  • Renovating and restoring lawns.
  • Operating tractors for aeration, seeding, and topdressing tasks.
  • Utilizing a range of hand tools for golf course upkeep.
  • Ensuring proper course setup and equipment operation.
  • Availability for flexible workdays and weekends is essential.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in groundskeeping is preferred.
