Job Title: Tax Manager

The Tax Manager plays a pivotal role in our Tax Department, providing high-quality tax services to clients and leading a team of professionals in a collaborative environment. We seek a seasoned candidate with a strong track record of success and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their tax needs are met and exceeded.
  • Practice Development: Contribute to the growth and development of our tax practice, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to attract new clients.
  • Tax Strategy and Research: Provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients, conducting complex research and analyzing tax implications.
  • IRS and Government Compliance: Supervise and manage IRS, state, and local government tax audits, notices, and correspondence, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Return Review and Preparation: Review and prepare corporate returns, including consolidated and multi-state entities, as well as individual and partnership tax returns.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop staff in a dynamic team environment, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and sell additional services to clients, driving revenue growth and expanding our tax practice.
  • Professional Representation: Represent the firm in professional and service organizations, promoting our brand and expertise.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of experience in tax services.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
