As an Assistant Community Manager, you will be responsible for assuming the Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in their absence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the training and development of the team, including scheduling employee work times.
- Review daily rent recommendations and proactively identify opportunities to maximize income.
- Collect current and delinquent rent in accordance with company and property policy, and implement timely legal action, including court appearances.
- Review move in and move out files for thorough and accurate completion, and verify information is timely and accurately entered into the property software system.
- Complete or verify completion of accurate and timely weekly reports, and review monthly financial reports with the property manager.
- Assist the Community Manager in resolving resident and prospective resident conflicts.
- Read, follow, and implement the company and employee handbooks, property policy manuals, and any other governing documents.
- 1+ years of related property management experience with the ability to pass a fair housing exam.
- 55+ community experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of operations software used at the property level, including Outlook, Internet software, EXCEL, and WORD.
- Current driver's license and auto insurance.
- Able to work weekends and overtime as job requires.
- Competitive compensation package, including a 401(K) match, rental incentive, and renewal compensation.
- Bonuses and rental discounts depending on location.
- Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits, and vacation accrual.
- Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.
