We are seeking an Industrial Automation and Controls Engineer to enhance our North American field service operations. This role involves significant travel to various project locations.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include supporting our team in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our automation and machine systems.

You will be responsible for the expansion and modification of the Siemens control system, ensuring integration with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Adaptation of the PLC safety program will be necessary, with careful consideration of risk assessments.

Integration and testing of new software modules for both existing and new machine applications will be part of your role.

You will oversee the commissioning of systems and ensure all functions are thoroughly tested.

Additionally, you will facilitate the acceptance and handover of machines to clients, which includes operator training and production support.

Maintenance and servicing of existing machinery will also be part of your responsibilities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a versatile professional with a strong background in industrial automation. You will maintain a high level of accountability and precision, ensuring our complex systems meet customer satisfaction.

Several years of experience in automated plant engineering, production optimization, and maintenance are essential.

Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with SIEMENS PLCs, HMIs, and Drives, is required.

Experience in identifying and resolving issues related to electrical and mechanical components is crucial.

A high level of commitment, flexibility, and mobility is expected.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary; proficiency in German is an advantage.
