As a Med Surg Travel RN, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Providing direct care to patients before and after surgical procedures.
  • Monitoring vital signs and promptly reporting any adverse reactions to medications.
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments to assigned patients.
  • Responding to medical emergencies and notifying the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to travel to various assignment locations.
  • Complying with the facility's required schedule.
  • Completing onboarding tasks in a timely manner.
  • Adapting quickly to new environments while striving for excellence in patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med Surg nurse.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license in good standing, with compact state license eligibility if applicable.
  • BLS certification is required; ACLS certification may be necessary.
