Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technician to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including setting up equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and ensure a safe and clean environment during procedures.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program including clinical experience required.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a Surgical Technician required.
  • Certification by The Association of Surgical Technologists, The National Board of Surgical Technology, or The Surgical Assisting Liaison Council Certificate of Surgical Technology highly preferred.
