Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Retina Scribe-Technician to join our team at National Retina Institute. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide accurate documentation and summarization of patient examinations and recommendations, while maintaining patient flow and communication.

Responsibilities
  • Establish rapport with patients and initiate patient evaluation, documenting chief complaints, histories, and ocular findings accurately.
  • Accurately document medical visits and procedures, and communicate with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, and schedule changes.
  • Maintain and clean ophthalmic equipment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Effectively navigate electronic health records and apply correct ICD-10 and CPT codes.
  • Educate patients on medication administration and maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff, and doctors.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to type or write legibly in a dimly lit setting.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Scribe (OSC) preferred.

The compensation range for this position is $22.00 to $27.00 per hour, dependent on experience and certifications.
