About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in infection prevention and control to make a meaningful impact on patient safety. You'll work closely with our healthcare team to implement and monitor infection prevention practices, analyze hospital infection data, and develop and maintain infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the managerial functions of our Infection Control Program
  • Assure compliance with CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA, and other federal and state standards and guidelines
  • Analyze hospital infection data to identify trends, clusters, risk factors, and variances
  • Manage hospital policies consistent with applicable infection control guidelines and standards
  • Perform surveillance, analysis, and reporting of hospital-acquired infections
  • Educate staff on infection control protocols
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and available resource on infection control practices and policies
  • Develop and maintain infection control standards meeting regulatory guidelines
Requirements
  • Current license or certification as a medical technologist, clinical laboratory scientist, physician, or registered nurse, RN licensure preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS preferred unless required by state regulation
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a healthcare field
  • 1 year experience in a clinical setting in field of practice
  • Preferred: CIC Certification, Training in infection control and/or epidemiology, experience in hospital infection control practice, CRRN certification if Registered Nurse
