Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner 2 at Asante is an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner with additional credentialing and competencies in adult critical care, pediatric care, neonatal care, pulmonary function technology, and team leadership. This role enables the practitioner to perform respiratory care duties in adult intensive care units, attend to patients in the ER, and provide pediatric floor care if applicable. Responsibilities may also include management of blood gas labs, as assigned for specific job roles.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or respiratory related sciences
  • Current or former RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • RT-P: Respiratory Therapist licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon start
  • Temp license may be considered and permanent license must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified from American Heart Association, preferred
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA), preferred
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification by the American Heart Association, preferred for ARRMC and ATRMC
