Respiratory Care Specialist

The Respiratory Care Practitioner 2 at Asante is an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner who has acquired additional credentialing and competencies in one or more of the following areas: Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Care, Neonatal Care, Pulmonary Function Technology, and Team Leadership.
Responsibilities- Perform respiratory care duties in adult intensive care units, attend to patients in the ER, and provide pediatric floor care if applicable.
- Manage blood gas labs, as assigned for specific job roles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or respiratory related sciences, preferred.
- Successful applicants should have experience specific to the posted Advanced Practitioner specialty position.
- Current or former RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Respiratory Therapist licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon start, with a temporary license considered and permanent license must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified from American Heart Association, preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification by the American Heart Association, preferred for ARRMC and ATRMC, with PALS must be obtained within 6 months of start for Asante Ashland Community Hospital (AACH).
- Competitive starting wage.
