Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician, you will be responsible for assisting physicians during special radiologic procedures, preparing and positioning patients for procedures, and performing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during special radiologic procedures, including coronary angiograms, PTCAs, peripheral and coronary artery stent placements, pediatric and adult heart catheterizations, peripheral PTAs, ICD implants, PPM implants, electrophysiology studies, EP mapping, EP ablation, valvuloplastie, structural heart procedures, and laser procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring and radiation safety.
  • Communicate patient information to physicians before, during, and after procedures.
  • Prepare and provide equipment and supplies for procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Iowa Cardiac Cath Lab Tech state license.
  • One year of Cerner experience.
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of current Cardiac Cath Lab Tech experience.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain a high level of concentration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
