Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician, you will be responsible for assisting physicians during special radiologic procedures, preparing and positioning patients for procedures, and performing conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during special radiologic procedures, including coronary angiograms, PTCAs, peripheral and coronary artery stent placements, pediatric and adult heart catheterizations, peripheral PTAs, ICD implants, PPM implants, electrophysiology studies, EP mapping, EP ablation, valvuloplastie, structural heart procedures, and laser procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary, maintaining a high level of patient care and service excellence.
  • Prepare, implement, and document plan of care, communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures, utilizing strong technical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods and maintain a high level of physical stamina.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical equipment.
  • Passionate about patient care and committed to delivering exceptional service.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiac Cath Lab Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Iowa Cardiac Cath Lab Tech state license.
  • One year of Cerner experience.
