Job Summary

The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately processing and submitting medical claims to insurance providers. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness
  • Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers in a timely manner
  • Responsible for resolving claims denials and follow-up with payers as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of claims processing and payment
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of medical billing experience
  • Strong understanding of insurance regulations and billing guidelines
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • High school diploma/equivalent required


Additional Skills:

  • Associates Degree in a related field
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • FQHC experience (medicare and medical experience)


Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
