Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at All Medical Personnel. As a Medical Coding Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing patient claims for accuracy and completeness, obtaining missing payer information, and ensuring that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:
Review patient claims for accuracy and completeness
Obtain missing payer information
Assign and sequence codes correctly
Comply with medical coding guidelines and policies
Receive and review patient charts and documents for verification and accuracy
Follow up and clarify any information that is not clear to other staff members

Requirements:
Associate degree in business, finance, health administration, or a related field
2+ years of experience in a primary care clinic setting
Certified medical coder with Certification(s) from AAPC or AHIMA
Expertise in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS
Expertise in CPT, Category II, and/or E/M coding
EMR experience
Experience with MS office products
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Strong team player and emotional intelligence
Ability to make decisions based on independent thinking and business objectives
