Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Work with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • ASE certifications in diesel engine repair and maintenance a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Annual Inspector Certification.
  • Brake Inspector Certification.
  • 609 HVAC Certification.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our fleet.

The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds. The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to wet, hot, or cold conditions.
