About the Job

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair vehicle issues
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure seamless execution of maintenance and repair tasks
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • ASE certification and 608/609 certifications a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
