We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgical teams during operative procedures by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment, setting up equipment and supplies, and passing instruments to surgeons and nurses as needed.
- Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- Basic computer skills and experience working in a surgical setting preferred.
- One year of experience in a surgical setting and completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required.
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
