Job Title: PT Microbiology Instructor

Foothill-De Anza Community College District is seeking a part-time Microbiology Instructor to join our team. As a Microbiology Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching introductory and applied Microbiology courses to students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Microbiology courses, including introductory and applied Microbiology.
  • Evaluate and assess student work.
  • Participate in the assessment of your performance, including administrative and student evaluations.
  • Participate in campus and staff development activities.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microbiology and the ability to communicate complex concepts to students. You will be working in an indoor office environment and will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
  • Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff.
