Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in electronic packaging to join our team at Jobot. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware for space applications, aircraft, and defense programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for space applications, including geosynchronous orbit, low earth orbit, and deep space.
  • Perform mechanical analyses, such as vibration, thermal, and radiation, to ensure product survival in launch and on-orbit environments.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on designs to meet project timelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages, preferably SOLIDWORKS.
  • Solid knowledge of GD&T.
  • 3+ years of industry experience with mechanical or electromechanical design, analysis, and/or manufacturing.
Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in design and analysis of electronics/microwave packaging for space applications.
  • Knowledge of high mix, low volume manufacturing methods, such as CNC manufacturing.
  • Previous ownership of component design from concept to aerospace industry qualification and production.
  • Rapid prototyping and design iteration.
