Clinical Educator of Family Medicine

We are seeking a highly qualified Family Medicine physician to join our team as a Clinical Educator and Clinician. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of Family Medicine education and patient care.
About the PositionThis is an exciting opportunity to join a top-ranked Family Medicine department at the University of New Mexico. As a Clinical Educator and Clinician, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring residents, as well as providing high-quality patient care in our clinics.
Responsibilities- Teach and mentor residents in our Family Medicine residency program
- Provide high-quality patient care in our clinics, including primary care and specialty services
- Develop and implement educational programs and curricula for residents and medical students
- Collaborate with other faculty members and department staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
- Board eligible/certified in Family Medicine by the ABFM or AOA
- Eligible for medical licensure in NM
- Eligible for State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification and federal DEA registration
- 4 years of professional activities in Family Medicine as well as teaching in a Family Medicine residency
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated skill in teaching
- Leadership ability
- Resident advocacy skills and interests
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
