Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Department of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology Division at the University of California, Irvine. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the comprehensive care of patients, including multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.
- Work under the supervision of Medical Director(s) and the Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor, and guided by applicable policies and procedures.
- Provide advanced nursing care in the area of specialization, including the management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the program and UCI Health System.
- Exercise diplomacy and flexibility in interacting with physicians, nurses, other paramedical personnel, administrators, emergency and law enforcement officers.
- National board certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) at the time of initial appointment.
- Licensure through the California Physician Assistant Board of the Medical Board of California as a physician assistant.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the program and UCI Health System.
- Ability to exercise diplomacy and flexibility in interacting with physicians, nurses, other paramedical personnel, administrators, emergency and law enforcement officers.
- Previous Physician Assistant experience working with Hematology and Oncology patients.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $76.08- $87.37 (Hourly).
