Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient medical office setting.
- Administer medications as ordered and accurately observe, record, and report patient concerns and progress.
- Assist providers and registered nurses with examinations and procedures as assigned.
- Participate in problem-solving and decision-making in the outpatient unit.
- Obtain medical information from patients, take vital signs, and screen patients for chief complaints.
- Current licensure with the WV Board of Practical Nursing or equivalent state board.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with high patient volume.
This position is frequently exposed to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, toxins, and chemicals in a standard clinical environment.
