Work Schedule: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Shift Timing: Day

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional patient care within the imaging department. Conduct high-quality imaging procedures while being attentive to patient needs. Adhere to established safety protocols for radiation exposure. Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a mentor to fellow technologists. Act as a clinical resource for unit staff and ensure compliance with current practice standards.

Contributions to the Team:

  • Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and package supplies and instruments using appropriate techniques.
  • Utilize sterilization methods (e.g., steam, gas plasma) to ensure the safety of supplies and instruments. Operate decontamination equipment according to departmental guidelines. Understand the operational principles of all sterilization devices used.
  • Maintain cleanliness in decontamination, sterilization, and equipment areas. Validate the functionality of all equipment through established monitoring processes. Ensure that sterilized items are correctly labeled and stored to maintain sterility, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate the technical skills necessary for maintaining High-Level Disinfection (HLD) processes.
  • Hold CRCST or CBSPD certification.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered Radiology Technologist, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T.) (R), Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (CV), Registered Surgical Tech (Department of Regulatory Agencies) - Tech Registry upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (for Colorado employed staff only).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • Minimum of one year of imaging experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
