Job Summary

Health Images is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to support our imaging services at our Southpark location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures and CT examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with patients to gather medical history and provide instructions and explanations of procedures and exams to obtain high-quality images.
  • Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent, and screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  • Obtain prior films/exams as needed and perform high-quality scans to submit to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Perform exams while attending to patients' care before, during, and following exams, and notify the appropriate party if patients' conditions change at any time.
  • Transfer images to other locations as needed, and coordinate scan protocols with radiologists.
  • Maintain and regularly inspect equipment, and immediately report any quality concerns, equipment failures, or deficiencies.
  • Interface with lead technologists and center/area managers regarding departmental concerns.
Requirements
  • Two plus years' experience in Computed Tomography (CT) and/or X-Ray.
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to continuously exceed company and customer expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
Education and Certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Registry in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Registry in Radiography (R).
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable).
  • Current CPR certification.
Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation is minimized by the use of personal protective equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to a medical office environment.
