Sports & Social Server

Sports & Social is a unique entertainment venue that combines a sports bar, gaming parlor, and social lounge. As a Server at Sports & Social, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Greet Guests and Take Orders: Greet all guests in a prompt and professional manner, take beverage and food orders, and ensure that orders are fulfilled efficiently.
  • Serve Guests: Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests, upsell when taking orders, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide Outstanding Service: Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring that they have a positive experience at Sports & Social.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with co-workers, kitchen staff, and guests, both verbally and through the point of sales system.
  • Monitor Guest Behavior: Monitor guest behavior and amount of alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service should cease, and notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests.
  • Complete Side Work: Complete all side work assigned, including accurately accounting for all sales and payments from guests.
  • Promote Teamwork: Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 1 year of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue, preferably in a nightclub environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments is preferred.
  • Age Requirements: Must meet state legal age requirements.
  • Language Skills: Must speak fluent English, and other languages are preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Must be courteous, pleasant, and good-natured, with excellent communication skills.
  • Certifications: Must have alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
Physical Demands
  • Handling and Lifting: Must be able to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, including bar ware, carts, boxes, bottles, etc.
  • Standing and Moving: Must be able to efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift.
  • Bending and Stooping: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift.
